Cookie Policy
Version 1.1 — September 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Websites can also store information in your browser in similar ways (for example "local storage"). This policy covers both.
2. What We Use
We only use cookies and browser storage that are needed for the platform to work or to remember choices you make. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not share this information with advertisers.
Essential
These are needed for the platform to work and can't be switched off:
- Sign-in — keeps you securely signed in to your account
- Cookie notice — remembers that you've seen this notice, so it isn't shown on every page
Preferences
These remember choices you make, so the platform works the way you set it:
- Accessibility settings — text size, colour filter, dyslexia-friendly font and focus reading
- Display — light or dark theme, and whether the sidebar is open or collapsed
- Form progress — answers you've entered in a registration form, so you can come back and finish it on the same device
Clearing your browser's storage removes these; you'll just need to sign in again and re-apply your settings.
3. Third Parties
When you make a payment you are taken to Stripe, our payment provider, which sets its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. These are covered by Stripe's privacy policy. No third-party cookies are set anywhere else on the platform.
4. Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies and storage, you won't be able to sign in.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we ever introduce analytics or other optional cookies, we will ask for your consent before setting them and update this policy first.
If you have any questions about this cookie policy, please contact us at community@IFECASA.org or write to #23 Ferrier Circular, Guayaguayare Village, Trinidad W.I.
