Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on the IFECASA STEAM platform you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at community@IFECASA.org of any unauthorised access. You may not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.

3. Acceptable Use

The IFECASA STEAM platform is provided for lawful professional development purposes. You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute course content
• Use the platform to distribute malware or spam
• Attempt to circumvent assessment integrity measures
• Use automated means to access the platform without written consent
• Share assessment questions, answers, or examination materials
• Impersonate another user or misrepresent your qualifications

4. Subscriptions and Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe
• Annual subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law
• Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled before the next renewal date; access continues until the end of the paid period
• Organisational subscriptions are governed by the Employer Partnership agreement
• We may change prices on 30 days' written notice

5. Intellectual Property

All course content, assessments and learning materials on the platform are owned by STEAM, a partnership between Star Definition and Four Definition Ltd, and are licensed to IFECASA for delivery through this platform. NFPA standards referred to in the materials remain the property of the National Fire Protection Association.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the content for your own professional development only. You may not copy, redistribute or resell it.

6. Qualifications and Certifications

• Qualifications are awarded based on successful completion of all requirements including assessments, JPR competencies, and portfolio evidence
• The IFE reserves the right to revoke qualifications obtained through dishonest means
• Certification validity periods and renewal requirements are set by the relevant certification body

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IFE's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Safeguarding

All users must comply with our Safeguarding Policy. Any concerns about the safety or welfare of a learner should be reported immediately to community@IFECASA.org.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, with equal jurisdiction in the Caribbean and South American territories in which IFECASA operates. A dispute may be brought before the courts of the United Kingdom or of the relevant Caribbean or South American territory, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer.
